After hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands of donation dollars, Suspect was finally ready to be launched.
Suspect was carefully moved to shore and lowered into the waters of Westport. On everyone's mind - would it float or would the boat still leak uncontrollably and have to be hauled again?
With pumps running, the team monitored the water flow in the boat and waited to see what would happen. Finally, they saw the water flow slow and stop. The launch was a success!
Suspect was then moved to a dock and tied up. Next Step - Stepping the mast and bending on the sails.
The team plans a shakedown sail once the boat is rigged. After we will be sailing Suspect to various CBA rendezvous in New England
Check back to find out when Suspect might be near you. We will publish the schedule as soon as it has been developed.
